Hi! I'm Ceci. I'm so glad you're here.
I'm an LA-based writer & creative crafty girl, and I’m currently working on my debut middle-grade fantasy novel, Briar Creek. It’s all about
music camp and monsters and Maine in the summer, and I can’t wait for it to be out in the world.
I’m 25, an Aquarius through and through, and I love all things sentimental, summer camp, and storytelling. Post-grad day jobs have ranged from teaching in a toddler room to on-set film production to corporate office work (current), and I tend to change my mind every six months about what I want to do with my life. Through it all, cozy hobbies always remain the constant.
I’ve been a reader as long as I can remember, and my first journal (pink and sparkly, of course) is from when I was five years old. I love puzzles, beading, stickers, you name it. This little corner of the internet exists to channel all my side quests into one creative outlet, and I hope you find something here that inspires you to slow down, be authentically you, and get a little messy.

Summer camp is a huge part of my life and the person I am. I’ve been going to the same music camp since I was ten years old (pictured here!), and now work there as part of the Administration staff. The best way I can describe it is that it's like working in the business of fun, and I’m more than a bit obsessed with spending the summer in the woods in the middle-of-nowhere Maine (I mean, I’m literally writing a book about it). Camp's the place where I met multiple of the closest people in my life, including my fiancée, and it has definitely informed the nostalgic, crafty side of me. I simply wouldn’t be the person I am without summer camp! I'm hoping this site and my Youtube channel make you feel like you’ve stopped by the Arts & Crafts cabin for an hour or so. ❀
Some more tidbits ~
☼ I graduated from UMass Amherst with a BA in Italian Studies. I’m definitely a nerd when it comes to Italy and ancient history, especially Ancient Rome & Ancient Greece. Please chat with me about the gods, goddesses, and of course, Percy Jackson!!
☼ I've been doing improv comedy for eight years, since I was a junior in High School, and I am often at my happiest when I'm being silly with funny friends and making other people laugh. Getting a laugh out of someone is truly like a drug to me and once it starts, I just want to keep it going.
☼ I did my college thesis in Writing Comedy Television & Developing an Original Comedy Series and have been working in the film industry since I graduated. I've worked on projects all over MA for NBC Universal, Apple TV+, Max, 20th Century Studios, Paramount+, Netflix, Hallmark, and Lionsgate, as well as several independent features, and in 2023, I wrote and directed my first independent short film. The ultimate dream would be to work in a TV writers room adapting a book for the screen!
☼ My fiancée and I have a tuxedo cat named Beans, and he is the most wonderful, awesome kitty in the history of kitties.
☼ My favorite book is The Song of Achilles, my favorite movie is Hugo, and my top artist is usually Taylor, though I'll always have a soft spot for oldies tunes.
☼ I have one tattoo (summer camp related, of course) and I definitely want more. (Sorry mom & dad!!)
☼ My last dinner would be: fried calamari to start, sushi as the main, and ice cream sundae for dessert, and both a Shirley Temple and a Cranberry Downeast to drink.
I'm a yapper and a half so I'm making myself cut off here. Thanks for getting to know me!
More of my musings are over on the blog :)
